Sunday I ran the 4 mile race starting and finishing at Danvers High School. Despite the 3 mile warmup, it still took me until the 4th mile until the joints really started to loosen up. But at least I was able to clock in a sub 8 minute mile.

Manhandling the snowblower last weekend aggravated my hip arthritis (but not the knee). Doing the elliptical on Thursday instead of a run put things right.

I finished 3rd in the D5K, my highest finish ever. Of course, that had a lot to do with who showed up for the race (and who didn't). But my time is the fastest I've run the D5K in a long time, probably a year and a half. I put in a couple of sub 7:50 miles, something at this point last year I thought I might never do again.
